Show HN: BuzEntry – your apt buzzer answers itself
Our apartment has one of those old buzzer systems that calls your phone when someone’s at the door. The system only allows a single phone number, so when my wife was expecting a delivery, she’d stay anxious and glued to her phone all day waiting for the call. Sometimes she didn’t see it, and the person couldn’t get in.
I built BuzEntry to fix that. It automatically answers your building’s buzzer and presses the unlock key. No app, no hardware, just a phone number that works in place of yours. You can also set an optional passcode that guests or delivery drivers have to say or type before the door unlocks.
I’d love feedback on the best ways to reach people who’d actually find this useful, other features that could add real value, and any buzzer quirks or edge cases worth testing.
